Well, I have re-vamped the Witch for 2006. Below are pictures of my progress, I have made a new frame, the fan motor is done differently, and I'm using one of my custom made masks.

I know, the frame actually looks kind of like a praying mantis, but I wanted her to be bent over. I got the fan idea from the "Death Lord Dummy" prop. The upper fan frame is pretty much the same, I just changed the bottom part. I added another set of legs to the frame for stability. The fan was bought at Walmart for about $11. Make sure it is the kind on a pedistal.
I used foam pool noodles for the arms, the hands I used last year are being used again this year. They fit nice and tight over the noodles

Using the fan in this manner,, It will have plenty of air for circulation, and won't burn up. You will notice that I screwed all the pieces together instead of glueing. I did that so that if after this year if I need to make changes I could.
I added some chicken wire over her back half, so the clothing wont get in the way of the fan, and to give her some shape. Then I put some of the camping mat over top to round her out, and painted the bottom of the frame.
I decided to add some foam to the cauldron, boy was that fun! That stuff just grows and grows!
Once the foam was hard, I sprayed it with a nice green latex paint

Here is the finished mask, all that is needed is to attach it to the PVC pipe at the neck. Isn't she lovely!

This was taken just after I finished the frame. I wanted to see what she would look like. The mask wasn't finished yet, and I hadn't foamed the cauldron. Quite a difference from last years witch!

Well, here she is in all her glory on Halloween night. I think she turned out nicely! Everything moved like it should and I had many compliments on my work. I did add a green strobe light inside the cauldron facing up towards her face, made her even creepier looking.

I tried to get a night photo with no flash, it didn't turn out too good, and I had to lighten it just a bit.
